dream speeds ?

Wawa, this year we have more snow then ever and started the sled by first weekend in Dec. Just tie the throttle wide open and fly anywhere on the lakes.

Used to stay at Northern Lights with John and Mo. Also stayed at Wawa Motor Inn (chalets are nice), and Bristol.

Is Ernie still in Missinabe ?

How is Luc (the groomer guy) doing?

So many others, too many to mention.

Ever meet the folks at the lodge near Dalton? What was his name? Garth or something. I think I heard he moved to the kids place in the states.

Ernie still makes the best burgers and is a sweet 1/2 day adventure. Manituick lake 21 miles long is where my buddies and I like to play WOT. Nice to here from someone who has toured the area on the snow and ice.

1 Magpie burndown, and 1 Dog Lake grennade. Not bad for years of running WOT.

Went from Ernie's to Wawa Motor Inn in 52 minutes after my wife's sled grennaded about 5 miles out on Dog Lake. She was stranded outside Ernie's with my youngest son because Ernie left for his cabin after filling us up. Took longer to drive the truck and trailer back, than to drive the sled to Wawa. I went as fast as I could safely go with my eldest son on behind. Only could get 122 mph (speedo) on the lakes with the extra 80 lbs. Did the portage in record time.

I had 104 MPH on the dream meter on my Stock Viper ER this weekend and the GPS max speed was 92.3 MPH. That was at about 2000' elev. and 15 deg F. I have seen 117 on the dream meter on the same streatch of lake in the past when the temp was about 30 deg colder.

I would check your exhaust valves. Take the three screws out of the servo cover, and check for excessive play in the cables. You may have a pull through. You should be getting more speed than that at 15F.

i've buried the speedo on my 01 srx many a time. Highest gps reading i got out of it was 110 on the dot, on a nice long lake.

Ditto my780 stock gears no overdrive 8450 to8500 rpms tears the needle off the speedo ,on the gun hard pack showed 111.5 with a 23 37 gear gave me a 114.3 on a gun speedo off the end.Engine is a stage one simmons plenty fast enough for me.

i have a 99 srx600 ive had mine 107 on the gun on a lake run. thats the best ive got out of her and there isnt anymore. motor, jetting. have stock exhaust and clutch kit. thats it. love this sled blast to ride.

My old 97 700 red head would bury the needle on ice or roads....i loved that speedo...lol .The srx has buried it once or twice but nothing like the old one did. If the speedo says i went that fast i must of..right?...lmao

Fastest I had my SRX was 115 on speedo, there was a bunch left, I would guess another 6-10 real MPH, I just didn't want to hurt anything holding it WOT for that long. Once I got up to 115 on my speedo, it maintained the same MPH for several seconds even though I was only at 5/8-3/4 throttle. I did this on the trail, not ice.

What tracks do you guys have? I rarely see even 180 kmh/ (111,8 mph) on my 02 srx. It has a 1,25 ripsaw track.

I just ran my SX 700 last week on very hard pack road to a max speed of 103 on GPS, my speedo top out at around 115, I did not look very long at the speedo at that speed, I could check the gps for max speed ever achieved when i stopped. At lower speeds, around 60mph on the speedo my gps is reading around 54. The faster I go the more the speedo is off. I am not sure how gringing off a gear on the speedo would change the outcome other than just not work???
i NEED YOUR SET UP. MY98 700SX will do 88.6 after cleaning primary and that was a pick up over dirty one of 3 mph. MY buddy has a 700 Deluxe that has same top speed. MY 95 600 will do 86 by gps. All of these are stock except 600 has picks. Buddies 07 Apex only does 105 on gps.

Stock 2003 Yamaha Viper running on a 1.8km stretch of lake this winter... virtually glare ice conditions... 177kms/hr on GPS. Several runs the same or a km or two slower. Most seen on speedo was 192kms/hr. Not looking at it all the time though. Dead honest numbers.

I too run a ripsaw, but a 1.5" lug height. I noticed a huge drop in my topend speed after I installed it.

Got the sled up to 178km/h, On the dream metter yesterday. GPS 153km/h but still needing some clutch work. (Got the parts ordered just waiting).

my 07 apex er saw 126 on a 6mile wot run on the lake super hard pack to bare ice all the way 144 studs and no other mods on 87oct fuel on the speedo. My 09xtx sees 104mph on the speedo .7mile hard pack no studs all stock on 100ll av gas (which i know is slowing it down) My 99srx 700 has not yet been tested. FWIW im 230lbs. The apex would lose 7-9mph if i brought my head above the windshield and the xtx runs the best on crappy 87oct pump 10% ethonal content.
