I would check your exhaust valves. Take the three screws out of the servo cover, and check for excessive play in the cables. You may have a pull through. You should be getting more speed than that at 15F.kbknick said:I had 104 MPH on the dream meter on my Stock Viper ER this weekend and the GPS max speed was 92.3 MPH. That was at about 2000' elev. and 15 deg F. I have seen 117 on the dream meter on the same streatch of lake in the past when the temp was about 30 deg colder.

i NEED YOUR SET UP. MY98 700SX will do 88.6 after cleaning primary and that was a pick up over dirty one of 3 mph. MY buddy has a 700 Deluxe that has same top speed. MY 95 600 will do 86 by gps. All of these are stock except 600 has picks. Buddies 07 Apex only does 105 on gps.alswagg said:I just ran my SX 700 last week on very hard pack road to a max speed of 103 on GPS, my speedo top out at around 115, I did not look very long at the speedo at that speed, I could check the gps for max speed ever achieved when i stopped. At lower speeds, around 60mph on the speedo my gps is reading around 54. The faster I go the more the speedo is off. I am not sure how gringing off a gear on the speedo would change the outcome other than just not work???
