I am looking to do some racing with my stock 2000 sx600r, it will be around a 900ft run, what will be the best gears to run????

900 ft. race, drop one tooth on top, set secondary to 50deg. Maybe think of putting in studs, 96 is fine. drop one layer on head gasket.

do you think one tooth on top is enough or should i go two???

I think one is enough for 900 ft. I wouldnt drop two teeth cause the chain angle on top would be to sharp, without changing the bottom too. Doing the trail perf clutching setup in the tech pages would help too. you will be suprised how much one tooth and the head gasket mod will do, just make sure you use good gas. check rear suspension, make sure its square, Drop your jetting 1 step on the mains too, check your plugs, but you should be fine.
