i have an 01 srx 700 that is trail ported from bender racing, also other ods and ends on it. I have been doing some 1000' radar runs and now there are a few coming up that are 660'. this sounds way too easy, but is it possible that the same clutch setup will work if i only change the gearing for the distance, or will i have to rework my whole clutch setup as well??

If you lower your grearing it might over rev, you won't know untill you try it. If it does and it is not by very much (100-200rpm) just add a one gram washer to the tip.
When you gear down you are going to take load off the motor so your clutching will be off.

any time gearing is changed from my experance clutching has to be changed
