New Polaris

Just because it's heavy doesn't make it strong. I rolled my Polaris down a hill for over 300 ft. and barely dented the tunnel, other than that there was no damage. I don't know how many times I've tipped and rolled that sled over and there's nothing wrong with it besides some scratches here and there and a collection of broken windshields. I rolled my SRX over one time and the handlebars were junk.

I might start a flame war but I do not agree that Yamaha has the strongest/most durable chassis.

broken handlebars = weak chassis? I dont follow

i've put proaction chassis through a lot of abuse and with the exception of the W arm i'm amazed at their durfability. Cant say anything about the new yamahas though
 
I never said the bent handlebars meant they have a weak chassis. I'm just saying I don't believe Yamaha makes the most durable chassis(not the weakest either) and that being heavy doesn't make the sled strong. My SRX was 550 pounds, my Pro-X is 480 or so. My Pro-X has a stronger chassis and suspension without a doubt.

a lot of the weight of your srx was in the motor, pipes, etc. my 97 600sx had the same chassis and weighed about what your prox does.
 
meant for a different thing though, not meant to take a giant pounding racing across the lake... ;) and I am not knocking the pro-x, I always loved those things. they look awesome, about as cool as the edge ever got :) so if you want to give yours to me... ;-)
 
getting a new sled? I can't afford to buy anything with the brand new baby in the house, but if you ever need a place to store it permanently... ;)
