IS it dangerous to plug the handwarmer in parallel?

i think it will result i will plug them in parallele and never put them at maximum ...if i don;t put them at maximum it will not take more current that normal way at full blast...and they will heat so so mutch lolll... if cdi fail i will call a towing

its what i'm thinking to do,, dont use it at max

when you place them in parrallel, the effective resistance (RT) is one half the value of one single grip resistance... 1/RT=1/R1+1/R2

for series, RT=R1+R2....

You're resistance is double in series but 0.5 in parallel.... factor of 4..... too much load current for my pocket book:)

Yes sir, you are right. ;)!

And to think I went to school for this stuff, albeit 30 years ago. I hate getting old. Thanks for the remedial lesson in basic electricity. I feel so stupid again. Thank goodness I am not attempting to calculate the avalanche point of a Zener diode or some silly such, lol

I am still having trouble understanding why he can't get heat if he has the right resistance.

You might try putting an inline resistor that is rated for that current to split the difference between series and parallel.
