ALMOST SPOT ON..what's my next move???

Haven't had the SRX out since last weekend.Started it up today to circulate the water and see what happens. As soon as I started it up,I removed the rad cap to look.Water is moving. This is normal,I understand that the thermostat will let a little coolant thru before it really opens. So if coolant is moving, means the pump is working. Now the question is..is the coolant moving at full open position or not.I let the sled idle for 15 minutes at least.Left running board exchanger is warm, rear exchanger is warm, right running board exchanger starts out warm and at the middle to end(towards the motor) it feels cold.So water is not circulating right thru.I guess I will have to open up the thermostat housing to check.I am ordering new parts for this .So the SRX will sit in the shed for the next 2 weeks I guess until parts come thru.
QUESTION: This has to be the problem, what else could it be.

did you leave the cap off as it was idling to get all the air out? I'm not sure idling creates enough heat to get the thermostat to open often. It could be that it opened once, but there's more coolant in the exchangers than in the engine, so the hot coolant doesn't go all the way to the other side.

I put the cap back on after that.Ran it 15 minutes, took it out around the yard and back to shed.Right exchanger still cooler towards the front. On my SXR 600,exchangers are warm right thru .

Dave, how would a heat exchanger even plug up.It is a closed system,no dirt can get in there. One would have to disconnect hoses and blow out the exchangers I assume if there was a chance this could happen.Unless a piece of the thermostat broke loose and jambed in there.NOW I don't wanna go there..thinking the worst, but you never know.Stranger things have happened to guys on here.
