Well got the speedwerx triples for our Viper today. Just trying to figure where to start as far as jetting. Plan to run the stock head for now. Any jetting setups, hints, tips, etc. would be greatly appreciated. This is the first set of pipes I've ever done. Found these threads so far regarding different issues with pipes and a few jetting specs. Thanks in advance.

i would start out w/162.5 or 160 mains, 3.5 needle postion (clip in middle groove and 1 shim on top and bottom of clip), 47.5 pilots, 2-1/8 turns on fuel screws.
 
OK, also forgot to mention would like this to be safe to down around -10 to -15F if possible...but I also don't want it to be pig rich at 35-40 either...and yea I know I may have to rejet for the different temps if that isnt possible...thanks again
 
what i would try then, if you want it setup safely for -15degF, is start out w/162.5 mains, needles in 4.0 position the pilots and fuel screws like i previously stated. try that. should be a good ballpark.
 
i have a hunch that you will be dropping the needles down to 3.5 position (1 shim), but just see first how rich it really is in the midrange.
 
Yea...we will start at 4.0 and go from there...thanks for all the help...now to get some pilots and mains
 
Well went to put the pipes in and the pipe is hitting on the part below (where the cable attaches to the belly pan to hold the hood). This causes the hood not to be able to shut. What have you guys done? Can you put a dent in the pipe? Let me know...thanks

don't dent the pipe....you have to move the monting location for that hood cable.....i had to w/my aaens. also, had to heat up the plastic by the shock tower, to get it to flatten down a bit.
 
OK we tried that which fixed that problem...but now the hood still wont close as it hits on the other pipe...not sure what to do with that...may just forget about it and sell the pipes

what does it hit on the underside of the hood? also, maybe the pipe needs to be bent down a little? i had a buddy that purchased some used cpr pipes, and they needed a little re-adjusting....if you know what i mean:)
 
if the hood is up and you are looking at it...the foam below the headlight...it hits all over in there...its not just one little area...and idk if we could bend that pipe...it fits nice and snug the way it is
 
Well I did some searching and found a picture of a speedwerx setup. In the 2 pics below you can see how in the bottom picture the pipe fits down and along side of the other pipe better than the one in the top picture. The top picture being my sled.
