was wondering if all 2000 yamaha srx parts would fit on 1998 yamaha srx hood running boards skis trailing arms and skid plate all fit?
someone must have an answer to this and are the hoods the same style?

so i could take a 1998 yamaha srx motor and put it into a 2000 srx chassis fine?
yes and no ... u will need to modify the lower case to hook up the 2000 pick up coil

your wire harness has 3 plugs on the 98 and only 2 on the 2000 you could change the complete harness and drop the 2000 motor in plug it in and go!! that way you would have the dcs on your 98 also
how much ius a wiring harness and how big of a job is that?

its not that big of a job you already have the engine out so really all you need to take off the sled is the gas tank and the seat, remove all wires and install the 2000 harness in it... you can get one from e bay for a hundred bucks or maybe cheaper depending where you live
