"99 srx custom project restoration"

The sled is looking very nice, terrific work!!

Where did you get the aluminum ring nut for the starter switch and the aluminum choke lever? I am looking for an aluminum cap for the oil tank with the Yamaha logo on it also. The aluminum parts are a nice touch.

Have you been powder coating your bolt heads? How well do the hold up when you tighten them with a wrench/socket? Many of the bolts on the sled I am rebuilding are discollored or corroded badly. Pretty expensive to buy new bolts so i was thninking of either powder coating them or having them nickel plated.

Thanks and happy holidays!!

the starter switch is a yamaha part. the choke is lever is custom made for me by a place in canada i have not powdercoated many bolts it holds for a while but will come off bolts.

i recieved my new drive cogs today and picked up a primary and secondary for it i am going to put a micro belmont artic cat/yamaha roller kit on it. and going to reclutch the primary the polish them up real nice. also got some billet arms today. powdercoated a few last things last night springs are a pain to do but look awesome.

I hope you aren't going to run the heelclickers like that. The middle bolt might scratch the spider pocket because it sticks too far out in the back. On a yamaha primary that is anyway.

What did you use to paint the front bumper? And does it/will it hold up good from lifting it and branches/snow always rubbing against it?
