I had Hauck Growlers on mine for about 4 hrs.... Couldn't stand the noise, didnt' want a ticket, and the sled felt slower to me...

i heard the power incs work well, but you need to keep the pipe hot for them to make power. wrap them up w/header wrap and you should be good to go. i'm going to be running my set later this year or next year.
how about putting the dough into clutching and make better use of the power that's there . we put in some odd weights in a pol 500 . my kids old sled . its a new machine the sad part is no idea were i got the weights . they have a K on them . guess is some old comet weight . but its a hot one for the indy 500SRXSRULE2 said:More bark? Its always the dogs with the little bark and the big bite that count! Dyno numbers? I'm not into that but ask YammieGod or look around here. I'll tell you something from experience the price of Bender's Race can for an SRX is near $300 dollars. Go price out the stock silencer from Yamaha, I'm sure its double if not tripple the price. Then think about who spent more money to develop that exhaust can, Yamaha the people who designed the motor or Bender the people who made the SRX sound a little louder. Putting a can on stock pipes IMHO is useless because the stock can is ment to work with the stock pipes. Backpressure is everything in a two stroke, without it you're loosing power. Trust me when Yamaha designed that sled, it was a pretty gutsy move putting SRX on the side considering what happened with the 81 SRX that never happened. They weren't going to make another failure right from the start, they spent a lot of money in R&D with that sled. Keep the exhaust stock and you'll be happier.

srx can
All I can say is when I was younger and had my first srx {98} it had a hauck can on it and was annoyingly loud! So I wisened up and ran the stock setup and it was definetly faster plus you gotta love that stock triple sound!

I agree the tough deep sound of a stock SRX is awesome in its own right as well...

I AM SCARED OF THOSE THINGS ROBBING POWER. SO FARR, NOT DONE TESTING STOCK MUFFLER, JUST REMOVED PACKING BEHIND SHIELDS, HAVE TO TELL YA SOUND IS SLIGHTLY DEFFERENT. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Hey YAMMIEGOD how's stock muffler mod treating you did it work or was it a waste
I got a set of power ic. pipes for sale.
STOCK PIPES!! STOCK CAN!!! Will make the most power with a stock engine!! If you are looking at doing some engine mods then look at Hauck, Bender or AAEN
