I need some help and tips before I tackle this. I was running track USA extension on my sled, but that skid was very very tired, cracked, bent. So I pulled out the MM 136 skid I had laying around, I have some measurments from the seller, I just need to make sure I have them right.
So if there is anybody around that can help me with some measurments that will be great, also I have the stock drop bracket, but not sure if I need to add a reinforcing plate on the tunnel like the other holes have.
Another one I was thinking is if it will be better to pull the skid back a little more...What will be the pros and cons of doing it...?
Thanks guys
Nick

Anybody...? Somebody...?
I have a 97 136" skid in MtnMax let me know what measurement you need?
I have a few but not sure of them.
If you can give me all of them that will be great.......driveshaft to front, front to center, center to rear. also the measurment from the top to the hole....I do have that stock MM drop bracket for it. But not sure how well will it work because it seems like the cooler runs to close......Hope you can help
Thanks

your gonna have to use the drop brackets, other wise the rear holes wont line up properly, i have a 03 viper and put a mm136 skid in and had the same concers as you are. your also going to have to brace the center holes. a little frabricating and you should be all set.
I will try to get you measurement in the next day or two. Our club is having a big event Sat. so it wont be until after that.

No problem, I was thinking on moving the existing braces, otherwise I will make some...But my question is the 3 holes that the brackets have are kind of i n the way of the running board cooler...Do you have a picture of this..?
I will wait for the measurments....Thanks guys

If you set the skid back in the tunnel too far, you will be shifting more weight forward onto the skis. I thought about doing it on my Apex but decided not to since it could be a problem.
The benefit would be a shallower track approach angle to help with trenching and powder performance.

No hurry on the measurments, I won't get to the install till Friday or the weekend, but don't forget about me.....

Sled the skid came out of is sitting in the trailer. Come on up and measure away

I do have the measruments you gave me, somewhere.....Just can't find them now....LOL
I might have to take a road trip, just don't feel like it....

I'll try and pull them again for you. It's stuffed in the trailer, but if I got really ambitious I could get to it.
does anyone have thier old measurements handy ? im going from a 121 to a 136 in a 97 v-max , have the front mounted but need the rest of the mounting point locations. can someone hook me up wtih measurements ? THANKS.
I found the ones Ryan gave me sometime ago.....I drilled the holes a few days back, I need to modify some brackets and I will be set....
CENTER 19" from front C to C. 4 3/4 down from top of tunnel
REAR 15 5/8 from Center C to C. 4 3/8 down from top of tunnel
This rear one is for the stock drop bracket on the MM skid

excellent , thanks a ton..... one more question for you , what do i do if my rear mount looks like this.
would i just measure to this point :REAR 15 5/8 from Center C to C. 4 3/8 down from top of tunnel. and center the shaft at that point and drill for the bracket ?
