No, you only go down 3/4 inch. Did you come down with your back mount like you were pivoting off the front bolt in a radius? You might run into problems with your suspension binding up if you mount your drop bracket straight down from the existing hole in the tunnel. Your new hole in the drop bracket should end up a little bit ahead of the existing one. I took a strip of 3/4 plywood and drilled the existing hole pattern in it. I then put a bolt through it in the front hole and pivoted it down to where I wanted my drop bracket. (In your case 1 1/2"). I mounted the drop bracket and put a bolt in the back and drilled out the center hole where the plywood template was set at. Worked good. Just double check your measurements when you go from one side to the other to make sure you are straight. Good luck
