Does anyone know how to adjust the oil pump on a 99 Vmax with 600 triple? The manual shows that you line up the marks on the oil pump for the 600. My problem is the pump cable looks like it goes down below the engine and you can't see it. The manual also shows adjusting the freeplay to 19-21mm in cable on the 700's. This is the way it looks like it should be on my 600 triple. I don't know, Im confused!

If I am right look at the middle of the cable. There is a boot or connection that you can see. It should have threads there that you can adjust.

Do these checks in this order;
1st- set idle to 16- 1,7000 rpm's(@ operating temp)
2nd- set throttle end play to 2mm(adjustment for that is here )
3rd- set oil pump cable free play here and here to 19(richer)to 21(leaner)mm
then set choke anytime to 1.5mm

Thanks, I think I got it set now. My manual is not very accurate, I adjusted the free play in cable.

Check the cable sleeve gap - there is a spec. to set the gap for adjusting the oil.
