Srx running at 7900 rpm

I recently put 8dn20's with 5.5 grams each hole W-W-W spring and a 54/44 Bender helix with green spring on my 98 srx 700. I have 22/40 gearing and 8 tooth drivers 1 1/4 ripsaw for now going to 1 3/4 and Sled is reving 7500-7600 rpm Sled is pulling like crazy, shifts great, but I am just wondering where should I take some weight from?The tip or back hole?I want to raise rpm to 8400 Any suggestions?Also does anyone have dyno results of 98 srx peak horsepower rpm?
 
WHAT EVER YOU DECIDE TO DO, YOU HAVE ALOT OF WEIGHT IN YOUR PRIMARY, ESPECIALLY WITH A 44 FINISH ON YOUR HELIX. YOUR LOADING MOTOR DOWN. LIGHT,EN PRIMARY TIP WEIGHT. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
Bender helix,s are very aggressive like advant-edges were. You need to remove 2-3 grams from each hole...but...i think you have powervalve issues. You should be pulling higher rpm,s with that set up.

I checked and adjusted my power valves cleaned and adjusted carbs before I installed my clutch parts Sometimes rpm will jump to 7900 I guess I could double check my power valves tomorrow and see if I have them adjusted properly.

I had a pull through and replaced the valve. the other two were great shape. Could it be, it is not usual operating temperature it is 0 to -7 last weekend as compared to - 20 to -30? All plugs are burning really black, not tan like they should!

I changed out the servo motor ,No change! Checked for pull through's all great shape.Readjusted power valves to 2.5 mm. I tried Y-W-Y primary spring, No change! Changed smaller primary rollers with the Y-W-Y and W-W-W , No change! Tried new belt, No change! Checked and re adjusted carbs, :o| Still No change! Highest Rev was still 7900! :o| :o| Anyone have another option?
 
Had one of our Viper's only pull to about that, anymore and it'd want to bog out. Turned out to be the reeds.

Did this revving to 7900rpm happen after you changed the clutch setup or just out of nowhere?

It dont want to bog out! It has all the power but it just wont go above 7900!
It revs to 7500-7600 at WOT and then raises the revs to 7900 once she gets goin No bottom end bog or top end bog. Screams like a scalled cat but tops out too early and too low of a rpm

i like yammiegod and modsrx replies, last year i tried a 54/46 with my heavy hitters loaded pretty good and it'd pull like a freight train for 2000' then the rpms would tail off, i'm doing some engine mods for this year so i'll try that setup first with the mods but if it still drops off on top i think i'll try 50/40 or something

It does seem to be alot to go with, but my gearing is 22/40, 13 wide with 8 tooth drivers, my rpm's were gonna go through the roof! Thats why I used so much weight in my primary. I figure there is something stupid that is holding rpm down. Maybe ill have to lose the 1 gram washers from the tip like Yammigod mentioned but I am gonna try my stock primary and see how high my revs really are ! I used a spare clutch for my new weights and spring so I have stock ready to bolt on and go! I also have a maxx roller secondary with a 40 32 helix.I am guessin that is not enough helix angle to run?? Also a 30 stock helix which I believe is a straight 41 degree. A {70 stock and a 71 stock} both are 47 Degree Keep your opinions coming the more the better

if it drop rpm on top the tip is to heavy .............. :o| stupid clutch

it will overrave till it shift then rpm will died .....secondary seem to shift wayy to fast
