I know it's not good pratice but has anyone had any experience reusing viper gaskets. Tore the motor down to check it over and I'd like to know if these gaskets can be used on the rebuild.
Thanks

never tore my iper down yet but have reused them on my srx and xtc with zero problems as long as they are'nt damaged on removal
I have reused the manifold and power valve gaskets. Seems to be no problems as they came off in one piece undamaged.

I re-use gaskets. I use a copper spray when assembling motors. I only replace the head gasket if the Teflon coating is pealing.

I do the same thing never had a problem. That copper spray works great if done right.
You have to make sure the gasket and surface on engine is clean.

hey
Was going over The same thing in my head (re-use gaskets)lol but when you really think about it...you can answer that question your-self....No sense chancing the qaskets not sealing...expecially for the price of an engine.. :-)
That's a gamble I'm not willing to take...and if you don't replace them it will be in the back of your head everytime you go for a drive...
