Is there any way to diagnos a bad seal other than guessing? I jst got the sled, and I don't have the money or the know how to tear out the whole motor. Especially if I don't need too!
if your motor was in running condition, you could start it up and spray ether (quick start) between the clutch and the crank. If the engine revs up, the seal is bad (ether getting in).centralPAvmax600 said:Is there any way to diagnos a bad seal other than guessing? Also that head has been painted, thats not the original colour. Gonna pass on some good advise I got here...pull the crank case and have it checked by a pro. Who knows what kind of mickey mouse b.s the previous owner did to sell his problems to you, I'm in the same boat, well kinda...its raining here LOL!!!
