removing wire harness 00 srx 700

Did you have to remove the motor? I know itll be much easier but i dont think i would beable to remove it as i dont wanna screw anything up. The wires almost out from under the engine but its still giving me a hard time. Is it possible without removing any motor mounts?

i loosened the motor mounts and lifted the engine. re aligning the clutches isnt that bad of a job. i tried to pull the harness out but it wouldnt come.

u will need to open the loop under that motor that the wiring go inside ..hate that job

After scrubbing my hands for an hour after the job i finally got the wire out of under the engine with out lossening the motor. Take off the pipes,air box, and carb rack and you should beable to get it through. I found 2 wires rubbed through under the motor. Blue wire and yellow

MY PROBLEM ON MY 2000 srx WAS HARNESS WAS UNDER COOLANT HOSE. MY HARNESS WAS NOT RUBED BUT WIRES WERE CRUSHED. MY 2000 WENT TOTALLY HAIRWIRE.
1. NO HEADLITE
2. ENGINE STOP SWITCH ACTED IN REVERSE.
3. TACH WAS GOING TO 12000.
4. TORS LITE WOULD KICK ON.

Did you have to pull the engine to fix this rub through issue. Cheers
