I have a 2001 SRX. I pirated another thread and didn't get my skid to where I liked it. http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?p=440530&posted=1#post440530
The rear of the track is still sticking up in the air maybe one inch on the flat garage floor.
If I sit on the sled the way I normally did, I can pull the skis up real easy. I have to wonder if the early model Bender transfer rods are causing my grief. (I can not get a reply from Bender). The gap with me sitting on the sled are maybe an eighth inch on the bottom with all the rest on top. I sucked up my limiter straps so that 1.5 inches of rod are above the bracket. I also question the logic of having no preload on a short travel suspension like the SRX. The local "Up North" Yamaha dealer said that I need to preload the center shock to raise the center of the sled and set the skis and rear of the track back in line.
I move the FRA to the in between setting from the stiff setting and it seemed to help some. I have watched the Pro-Action tuning video twice now and have a hard time fathoming how my set up can be so hosed.
The wife and I drove the sled 50 miles the other day. She didn't seem to mind the ride, but I felt like I was being thrashed compared to my 07 Attak.
Is the anyone that will be in the Mountain/Lakewood area Thursday or Friday that would be willing to take a look at the sled? Mt wife talked me into not bringing it home again.
