I went the underseat route and tapped into the blue wire for the tail light. I used the right rear gas tank bolt to ground. Will this work?

Thanks for the confirmation...i did use dielectric grease installing the ground.Gas tank bolts into the chasiss.The chasiss is the ground for the sled. Make sure it has a good clean connection.I use anti-seize on this type of connection that is open to the elements.

To each his own...I weighed all options and preferred the underseat routing...the cord will go down the inside of my coat and plug in right by the seat...maybe 8 inches of cord exposed.Why does everyone say that??? If you have it under the bar pad it comes out the bottom of the bar pad and sits right near the gas cap....All you do is run the cord from your helmet down your coat, out the bottom and along the gas tank to the hook-up cord. It is so much easier(IMO)....and it is ABSOLUTELY NO WHERE NEAR your arms, it is 2 feet below them.
