:2strokes: Hey everyone. I hate being the newbie but I guess we all were. I am looking for some feedback and referrals about the SSR. I bought my first one this week. I do collect quite a few racers and have spent the last 6 or 7 years collecting the Doo's I wanted. Now I am interested in restoring the SSR to new. It is in decent shape but I will need a rad, probably a hood (preferrably OEM) and the skis have had some additions welded but are not cut short. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance
 
Thanks, been to his site but not contacted him yet. Does not list anything for the SSR. I would also like to chat with people that have them. Thanks Ward (Rob?)
 
Thank you, like any new learning curve, I need information. I have heard different things about the numbers produced (somewhere around 140) but even after years of Doo stuff, there is always a grey area. I found out the tunnel number is the same as the block if it is correct. I do need to replace the radiator and will probably need one made. I would greatly appreciate the exact dimensions of the original and if it was left aluminum or painted black. The biggest thing I need is resource books or manuals if anyone knows where I could find them. Thanks for the U2U's and help so far, Ward
 
140 seems like a lot to me but not sure. I've heard 80 to 100. I don't have mine anymore so I can't measure the radiator but it is black. I so still have a manual and there are some on ebay from time to time.
 
mine was 000148 making it the 47 th made if that helps, my other was 000109

You didn't need to correct it. I have never seen one with a serial # of 000200 or higher either. They start with 1 instead of 101 according to the owner's manual.
