Throttle cable to tight? TORS activating?
ther is slop in the cable and the tors is bypassed also tried it with tors no differant stock motor 42.5 pilots 1 1/8 air screws 150 147.5 147.5 jets i tried two differant carbs and the same problem. chock is set right. just need to step back and take a break from this machine. could it be weak spark? i am going to try a another set of coils tommorow and also a cdi.

Did you check the reeds? Did you check the stator for current? Pickup Coil? is the exhaust plugged with something? It almost sounds like the srx's does when the exhaust hole is plugged with snow.

YEA ME TOO loL. BUT I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF BIG RACE SLEDS WITH THAT PROBLEM, GUYS GO RIGHT AFTER STATOR FIRST. TELL YA ITS EITHER THAT OR CARB ISSUE, WHAT ELSE ? 3:16 (yammie tony)

All this is interesting as Yamaha's are known for their reliabilty and CDI + Stator issues are something we Yamaha owners/riders have never had to worry about.

We are all, [Vipers + SRXs owners], entering into an era where our sleds are aging to the point that even our Yamahas are having stator issues. Of course our sleds had to get around 10 years old before this started showing up!!

Most Cats + some Ski Doos usually have come up with stator issues in less then 3 years of age!

I had performance issues on my 2002 SRX that a new stator helped cure as well...I guess we shouldn't be too critical since our sleds are reaching an age that most owners of other sleds can't even dream of !!!
