How do I check my stator on a MM 700? Is there a write up somewhere on here?

its a simple ohm test between certain colored wires, but there is different specs for 01 and up, and pre 01. what year?

It's a 2000. If you could let me know what the specs are that would be great.
for the pulser coil go white/green wire to white/red wire off the stator plug. 210 ohms, +/- 10%, with 203 ohms being spec. charge coil is brown to black/red 435ohms +/- 10% with 421 ohms as spec. these numbers are achieved with the parts at 68* F.

On the pulse coil I got 190.9 ohms on the charge coil i got 411.6 ohms. Both were at 20*F. So I don't see a problem with it. How can I check the CDI?

The problem I am having is the mag a pto cylinders are not firing at idle and eventually flood out. I went through the carbs and they are in perfect condition. The spark looks weak so I am thinking it is an electrical problem.

I just checked the resistance on the source coil between the brown and brown red wires and it was 0 ohms. Could this be my problem?
dont know if its a typo, but the test was for brown-black/red, not brown-brown/red.lords88 said:
