Hi everyone,
I am having some issues with my 2000 SRX (with 1,800 miles), and I need some help. The first time that it was used for the 09-10 season was at the end of December, and it ran fine. I then dropped it off at the shop for the "pre season" service/check-up on Jan 1. They said everything was perfect, and I just got around to picking up the sled last weekend. Last weekend I put about 100 easy and somewhat slow trail miles on the SRX, and it seemed fine. Well this weekend I took the SRX to Vermont, and that is where the trouble started...........
On Saturday I did a WOT run across Island Pond, and it hit about 95MPH (it would not do anymore than that), and it did not have the "rip your arms out" power that it should have. I also did a two more WOT runs and some trail riding on Saturday. At one point on Saturday my GF rode the SRX, and in her words, "the sled is not riding right".
Then Sunday I started the SRX in the morning, and the coolant light was on, and it would not shut off. I checked the coolant, and it seems fine? So now it is still low on power, and the coolant light is on! Any ideas?
The only thing that I can add is that I noticed on Saturday that the shop screwed up the spark plugs during the pre-season service. In two of the cyl's they had the correct BR9ECS's ,and in one cyl they had a BR9ES. Could the one spark plug have messed up anything?
Thanks,
Zack
