just trying to verify im trying to start from stock and have the stock part # but whats the actual nozzle Q-4, Q-8 etc

I am guessing you are talking about the 99 SRX 700 in your info under your username?
From the 2000 SRX700D/SD manual the factory sizes are:
Jet needle:6GM26-3
Needle Jet: Q-6
