I am going to sell my 2008 WRX as soon as I get back to work from this damn strike, and I will be replacing it with a 2008 Mitsubishi Evolution X. Hopefully that happens in the near future.

valin, just like the evo more? I thought the earlier wrx was better looking for sure than the newer ones. evo has always been a more sharp lines kind of car.

The WRX is on strike 3, and I am quite unhappy with dealing with Subaru. It's time for a change.

yikes, what have you had for problems?? I actually thought it was the evo that usually had issues lol!

They did a review on the Mit on Top Gear, they didn't seem too impressed, you might do better (probably cost less too) to go to the aftermarket for parts. I'm more into diesel turbos, but I assume those same companies have goodies for you. I understand wanting a new car, but you seem pretty 'anti- stock' ;)! I really like Mitsubishi, but I always kinda thought Subaru had a better 'base'. Regardless it will be interesting to see what you do.

guy has a subaru wrx and he is pissed as subaru atm. blew the tranny for the 2nd time while he was crusing at 100kph with his kid in the car. it was still under warenty and subaru canada said they will not cover it as they are accusing him of abuse. it is in arbitration right now. from what i saw, there is a machineing flaw or mis alignment in the casting as it turned the tail shaft blue before the bearing failed in the tranny.

I'm in the same boat, but haven't had any tranny issues. They're installing another turbo (this is the 3rd one......it completely seized up this time while cruising at 65mph down the highway, set on cruise control). The climate control is not working properly. The rear window defrost is also not working properly. The electrical system continues to drain the battery. The car is on strike 3. I'm getting an Evo. That's all there is to it.

Also, the evo is quite a bit cheaper to modify, so it'll be pushing 350 whp / 350 wtq. in no time, on the stock turbo.
