just joined tonight but anyway i own a 99 srx 700 stock with the exception of boyesen reeds and hauck silencer wondering why my 700 is not as fast if not slower than my 98 600 the very top end of throttle seems fat as in to much fuel

i origanlly had aaen pipes on it but i thought i put all the jets back to stock main and secondary what should they b

99 SRX should have #1 and #2--->146.3
#3---------->148.8

This seems a tad low for me in cooler temps.

2001 is #1---150 #2----148.8 #3----148.8

2002 is #1---147.5 #2---146.3 #3---146.3

I have 2001 specs now in my 2002..keeps DCS off
But being mild I could go back to stock.
You'll have to check what is in yours,unless you wrote it down somewhere.

other than jetting i dont know what to point 2 i have turned down my oil pump to stock (had the dealer crank it up with pipes on) i have done some clutching mostly stock as in weights and secondary cuts runs great in low and mid range but the last three guarters of throttle is doggy has all kinds of rpm's but no speed reason why i think its fat on top end ive struggled with it for two years now thinking it just is slow

get rid of that hauck silencer and check power valves for pull thrus and misadjustment.

always wanted to know how to adjust power valves

There are some really good write ups in the technical section back on the TY home page about exhaust valve cleaning/adjustment. Alot of other good solid info there too.

P.S. Welcome to the site.

will never get rid of my silencer i love the sound always had one on both of my srx's just dont believe they make them lose horsepower sorry

Your down 3-4 mph using an aftermarket silencer. Tried em at a radar run one day & lost mph on back to back runs...sorry.

just try hauck silencer to stock silencer on back to back runs like turk did, and you'll see the difference.

I never believe silencers would lose hp also.... but i ran stock exhaust for a few weeks, and then put on my hauck growler I bought. I immediately thought it felt flat on top end. With the stock exhaust, it would pull hard to 106 then creep to 109. With the hauck, it would pull hard to 95 and then creep to about 102... Sounds good yes, slower than stock, yes

You have to find out the rpm,,, If your over-revving that is good,, means engine is healthy,, then you can tune clutch to bring it down where it belongs..... You want it around 84 hundred.....

first I would take the time to get the 700 working properly.You think you have issues now...think again when you go to a bigbore 780 or something.If you don't know what you are doing..you will likely blow up the bigbore.I know of some guys here locally who went that route and couldn't keep the motor together.First learn what the 700 SRX has to give you when perfectly tuned,and if and only if that isn't enough for you..you can spend the thousands to bigbore it and hope for luck on your side.I was thinking of that route,but backed down.Unless you know motors that well..I would avoid it.Hey who am I..it is your money,but don't want to say I told you so after !! Or just buy an APEX>>LOL
