the bigger the wheel the less rolling resistance , it will give you more top mph , you will only see it on the radar gun tho

you can replace the 4 up front and the 2 on the cross shaft with 5.38 inch. The stock wheels are only 5.125 To replace the wheels on the cross shaft you will have to unbolt the shaft from the rails and find a press to get the wheels off and press the new ones on. They are held in place by press fit and a C-clip
The sled rolls much nicer and will make your hyfax seem like they last forever.

If you want to spend the money you can also get an offset rear axle to run 8 inch wheels in the rear vs the stock 7 inch. the axle will come offset for you to run 8 inch wheels on the outside and the 7 inchers on the inside

The shaft ends on the aftermarket axle are offset to allow you to run 8 inch diameter wheels on the outside. since its only offset on the outside, you just run your 7's on the inside
why u can't run the 8 inch on the original shaft ????

i guess the 8" wheeld doesnt have the same offset ??
I run polaris Idler wheels on mine. they are a bigger diameter and keep the track futher off of your hyfax.

mod..go to royal dist.Look up the polaris wheels(5.35") and you can also pu 7.5 rear wheels from the older SRX's.If you need part #'s,I can find them. That's what I have on both of my skids for years now.Hyfax doesn't wear it seems at all. Also marginal snow wheels up front help with the hyfax wearing down, but usuually wears so much and then it stops.I am happy with them. For the 7.5 rear wheels you'll have to cut your axle spacers down a tad because of the thickness of the wheels with the bearings installed is a tad thicker. There is a write up in here somewhere from years back.Maybe Betheviper wrote it,don't remember.

Royal catologue..go to page 158..idler wheels from 83-07 Polais Indy. They are 5.350 x .750.Part number is #04-053-xx The xx is the color code you want.Blue is 23 code. Price $24.99.Uses stock bearings and bushings
The 7.50 wheels are from the 78-79 SRX 440's.They are Aluminum.Part #04-116-91 at $24.99 each.It is on page 159.You need the new circlips and new bearings with them.It is stated there. You have to cut down your axle spacers a tad to make them work.
Hope this helps.
