Here's my current Pickup;
'98 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 5.2
Gibson headers w/ a 2.25" y pipe into a full 3" exhaust all the way back. All hand built. Magnaflow muffler. I did all of the exhaust work on the floor in my garage. Good times
Harland Sharp 1.7:1 Roller Rockers
Mopar valve covers to dress it up a little
Fixed the leaking plenum gasket
Needs a stronger ignition and the pcm reflashed to really get it making some power. My truck had the "death flash" done by the dealer to "solve" the pinging problem
caused by the intake plenum leak
It will probably put the advertised 230 stock crank horsepower to the wheels with the pcm flash and ignition upgrade. Pulls a heavy trailer really well though (no not the dinky trailer pictured).

Had a Honda Ridgeline, pulled the 2 place no problem also had an 02 Avalanche which got almost as good gas mileage as the Ridgeline, 17 vs 19 towing so I would rather have the Avalanche but when I returned to auto racing I needed to upgrade to tow a 28' loaded enclosed trailer with my 55 Thunderbird vintage road racer and all my tools and equipment. Now have an 05 F250 Super Duty crew cab, 8 ft bed with the V10. Love the truck except the gas mileage YIKES! 11 normally but as low as 8 fully loaded with the race car and gear, but the bullet proof reliability of the V10 off sets a lot of the cost in gas. It now has 242k miles and runs like a watch. I have put 50k on it in the last 4 years and have done nothing but brakes and tires along with oil changes. I have seen guys spend thousands on there Powerstrokes during that same time. Also the V10 is so smooth and quiet that it is a pleasure on the long trips. Luckily I normally ride right out of my barn here in Maine. The trail system goes directly behind my barn.
