Bullpoop insurance companies (State farm)

Did you know,, if You ride down a snowmobile trail and your WIFE slams into the back of you and destroys your snowmobile,, HER INSURANCE DOES NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT?????? Something that she lives in the same household as you do and ,, since she is married to you,, you BOTH are insured and YOU CANNOT SUE YOURSELF... I called Allstate and he told me that it is the same with ALL insurance companies. I bought MY SLED when I was single and it is in MY NAME ONLY and HER SLED is in HER NAME ONLY.. WE don't even have the SAME LAST NAMES,,, but,, because we live at the SAME ADDRESS we are considered FAMILY... My Full coverage has a 500 deductible and her full coverage has a 250 dollar deductible,, so,, it's going to cost me $750.00 to get my STUFF FIXED.... INSURANCE COMPAINES SUCk !!!
 
A have a friend thats a real estate attorney and anoter friend that is a corporate attorney,, so,, they know nothing about insurance companies... Does anyone know an insurance attorney that can do a little "negotiating" ???
 
I don't know... I think FAMILY MEMBERS mean ANYONE living in the household?????

I roomed with my riding mentor for a couple years and can think of a couple self deprivating... ah, nevermind.

I guess it's lucky we never crashed... into each other.

Ahh yes, Insurance... the biggest scam out there...


It definitely does not make me feel bad about people getting a new sled when theirs burns up or similar scenario where it is a write off. Heck I got 3k for my old 86 bronco2 back in 2000 when a drunk blew his red light and totalled it. 440,000 miles strong and it was taken out by a chevy celebrity. That truck was worth maybe 1k at most...
 
Here is what you do, on the lowest deductable sled, bump up the repair in labor, not parts. Lower the labor cost on the higher deductable or not even claim this sled's repair. I do not see this as wrong as both sleds are under same policy that you have been paying for. I routinly have to deal with insurance company's with PWC impacts of same household riders. I would have to say State Farm is the easiest to deal with and Progressive is the worst. Al

While I definitely don't agree with the insur. co. I would think that the proper authorities wouldn't have much problem getting you convicted of Insur. fraud doing this.Public forum might not be a good place to tie yourself into this kind of info.JMHO.

They are different policies and we don't even have the same last names... It's because we are living in the same household and it is looked at as COMMUNITY PROPERTY.. I cannot sue myself they are telling me..
 
I took BOTH SLEDS to Yamaha and the State Farm rep will do an estimate WITH the YAMAHA dealer's mechanics and come up with an estimate.. I suppose that's the way it works...

Alot of body shops wont even touch a vehicle if you have Progressive. And an emphatic....YES, to the quote that State Farm is the easiest. No doubt in my mind.
