the sled is basically stock, only mod is the bored silencer. eems to use a good bit of oil (about twice what the viper uses, but unsure of exact amount) and I was wondering where the needles in the carbs and the oil pump setting should be. pulled the needles today and they are secon notch from the top. I know the stock setting is #3. so am I at #2? had 2 shims under it as well. I now have it set with 1 shim under, 1 over the clip. plugs (before this change) were wet and oily. thoughts or ramblings?? thanks in advance guys!!

I did search, really mostly interested in the needle position. I know what stock is, just not sure about the shims and if I am at position #2 or 4. how are they counted? and how much of a difference do the shims make? just seems like even with the rich oil pump, shouldnt it be a bit more lean with that clip position?? almopst all the info I found was for people with a 700, wasnt sure if the 6 was different

wel I finally remembered to check the throttle gap and it was nowhere near 2mm. more like 15. adjusted that, double checked the oil pump (set at 22mm now) and it seems a LOT better. not sure what difference the 1 shim made. do tose shims make that much difference?
