Yep; we got major dike building in town now. Still full blown winter but floodong looks like it,s gonna be real bad.

yeah were in for flooding he also just not as bad around the RED!

Was told today that there is still 57 inches of snow in the Porcupine Provincial Forest and same with the Duck Mountains and that still has to melt and come down toward us yet, so yeah its going to a bad spring

I believe the Province said a while back that this will be the First for a Flood Prediction that encounters flooding from so many areas at one time..I don't know how all this is going to turn out...water tables are way to high and where is the water to go when everything is still high levels from last year..gonna be bad as Turk mentioned...

Turk..they never ever had a dike around Brandon before?..but now you say they are building one now.I read now that they are topping up the dike now.

For us guys South..I looked at long range and looks like Fargo and Grand Forks are going to start their melt way ahead of us temp. wise...their water will start to flow and we will still be in snow and ice..don't know how that will work out.

I would like to post all pics and videos of the Flood in my area.It would be great if Turk and needasrx could do the same in their areas.\That will cover a wide area for people to see what we are going thru. I will probably start a thread on it..calling it MB.FLOOD WATCH 2011

last few years we have been getting to much rain prior to freeze up..Ground saturated and River and Lake levels are to high..then you get the snowfall that melts on top of it and Bingo..possible flooding again..but this year looks to be the worst in many years for some regions.South were I live it is hard to say what will happen.Next Flood outlook coming out soon based on snowlevels here and in North Dakota..

this was in 2009 which wasn't a huge Flood compared to 1997.In 1997 the water level was equal in hieght to the middle of my basement windows..
