blue, for your seat snaps use grease on them when you reinstall, you shouldn't have any more troubles but you should use a small flat screwdriver to get them undone instead of just grabing the seat material & pulling up.
your sled still looks good.

yeah I gotcha..I always pull by the material... I will have to install new caps on the material part again..I''ll try that grease thing also..thanks
Blue! where do you get your bearings from or do you just repack them!bluemonster1 said:got the chaincase and shafts out, changed out all bearings with no issues..Changed the jackshaft bearing plates..if you remember last season I noticed I installed them the wrong way and my 2ndary was being gouged out in the back and the 1 plate was cracking on me..well it is now installed the right way..
One note for all you guys when you install your chaincase bearings.some keep the seals on and some take one off.I have always run mine with the seal off to the inside. It gets a steady dose of oil.The bearings are still in perfect shape, but changed them anyways since everything was apart. Will save them as spares.I also run Trans. fluid in my chaincase as well with no issues.Just waiting for my new hyfax and track to come by next week to get her all back together. Then the front end will be dropped and parts replaced..iy is never ending, but if you don't up keep these sleds..they will leave you stranded one day..I believe in prevenative maintenace and gives me something to do as well and I still haven't been smoking now since I started the patch 11 days ago...
Thinkin of tearing my suspension down and doing the samething so I can install my speed track with the chisels

I ordered my bearings from Royal Distributing.Actually ordered enough to do both sleds..ordered them last Spring actually.I ordered the cheaper ones for the lower idlers and the Blue Seal ones for all the rest.I will repack them after 1 year or 2 of use..then get new ones again.
Got my radius rods off and trailing arm.In the process of repainting them again before the season starts.I am trying out that rubberized rocker panel compund that comes in a spray can. Then I will paint on top of it.It should stop any ice or snow creating chips in the paint because of the rubber compound under the paint. Will see if it will work by the end of the next season.

the paint job on the srx arms actually did very good for last 3 years..really impressed. It is mostly the radius arms that get chipped more and on my 600 as I am in more deep snow with it.The SRX is basically more on hard pack and does not get that kind of abuse.

well spent most of the day putting back the radius rods as per spec and the trailing arms went back on.Man everything is nice and snug in the front end now.Just have to align my ski's now.
Got the Power valves cleaned and adjusted.Did the adjustment with the 2.5 method.I had the header pipes off ..so wanted to check if valves were flush. One was the other 2 still needed more tightening to bring valves flush. So I don't think you can be real perfect doing the 2.5 mm spacer method.Feeling with your fingers thru the port is the more accurate method.I guess in a real rush the 2.5 method will be close anyways.
Once front end is done, will clean carbs..put exhaust back on..get some fuel and fire her up.Oh yeah..bought a gas tank fuel filter.so have to fart around getting that in to.
I also bought a new fuel pump..updated one I guess. It is really a back up and only was $68.00If I change pumps,do I have to bleed oil line again??

after installing another fuel pump and doing the choke plunger mod..SRX started in 4 pulls..that's after the carbs were full from the day before. Now will let her sit for a week and see how it will start.

What temp was it sitting at? Mine sat overnight for 12 hours overnight -4 Celsius. Choked the motor off night before. 2 pulls. Buddys EFI Arctic Cat took 3. No choke mode to the SRX.
