my 81 SRX was $4000 and I thought that was crazy already for price..but I was single and had good paying job and money just sitting around..so went for it..Got my 2002 SRX for $3700 but had to put money into it of course. And my 2001 SXR pu for $4000 and put money into it also.So I spent way less money on 2 sleds so far then buying an Apex here for $17,000.YAMMIEGOD3:16 said:2002 SRX BRAND NEW WAS OVER $8000. 1992 VMAX 4 WAS $9200. 1983 VMAX 540 WAS $4400. A 1979 SRX WAS $2350. YAMAHA NEVER BEEN AFRIAD TO CHARGE YA FOR THE BEST SLEDS ON THE SNOW. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Also price is a huge factor !Yamahasrx700 said:First off I am a HUGE Yamaha fan. I own 3 Yamaha sleds and I race motocross on a YZ250. But....If Yamaha is building "The ultimate sled" why are they last in sales? Your opinions mean nothing. Bottom line, the other 3 brands are building sleds that the population wants. Maybe Yamaha is satisfied with that..I am not.

Just because someone tells me" They are the same price adjusted for inflation" doesn’t mean much to me. All I have to do is look in my checkbook and get a dose of reality. I would consider myself very well off financially and I can’t see the value. More power to the people that can justify a new sled. Our sport is dying off and its not because people don’t want to ride. Its because they cant.
