I recently purchased my first sled. Its a 97 v max 700 triple. Its a great sled and its in great condition. I took it out for the first time ysterday and it seems to dart a lot. When i stand up while going a decent speed it doesn't dart at all. I assume that this is due to the wind resistance on my body putting more weight on the rear and taking weight off of the skis.
My front skis are SLP ultra lites with 5 inch carbides in good condition. Toe is set to 1/4" out. Front shocks have the nuts under the spring adjusted about 3/4 of the way up. The nuts under the spring on the front shock on the rear skid are about 1/2 way up.
Do I need to adjust something with the shocks? Everything is stock besides the SLP skis. Do I need to let the limit strap down? If so, how do you get to the strap to adjust it? I looked under the sled and it Looks like a tight fit.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and I rode my brothers 98 srx right after on the same trail and it did not dart at all
