Does the oil pump run oil into the fuel pump on that sled like my 97 sx 700, So when the gas hits my carbs it is mixed with oil?

his would mix with the oil.Isn't there a check valve in the line..I believe there is one..Maybe it doesn't work and oil just slowly getting in bowls thru pump..
yes it mixes first . it's not pulling gas from tank or it filled all summer this was first start of season

did you fog the motor in the summer..would be fogging oil in there then.It would still fire up with a lot of smoke..
how can i get gas to pump to see if it works . just pull it
this was all yamalube. i didn't fog it

pull start...put some gas in the plug holes maybe to get it going and then it should draw fuel.Make sure if there is a gas line shut off that it is open also.

if nothing happens..then check your pulse line and fuel lines for any cracks and brittleness.
ok i'll put carbs on and try it
still no start. it will start for a second with mix in plug.
When you stored your sled, did you try to "fog" it by pulling on oil cable to flood the engine with oil? If thats the case, thats residual oil that wont evaporate like gas. You may have to prime the engine a few times before pump picks up fuel. Check pulse line and/or take fuel lines off carbs to see if fuel pump is working.

I don't buy the rich oil to fog it deal. Fogging oil will cling to everything if it's shot through a running motor then sprayed through the plug and pulled over once it's done. I've always fogged outboards by disconnecting the fuel line on a warm running motor and fogging it until it runs out of gas. Never had a problem with re starting it, just a spray of gas to prime it then burn out the fogging oil.
what drives the fuel pump on these motors vac from carbs or oil pump.

Pump is driven off pulse line from cases. On my srx's and sxr its below the center carb. Is it possible that diaphram let unmixed oil run into carbs? Tank full of oil, gas evaped and oil weeped until floats were full? Just a thaught. Were the fuel lines full of oil as well? If so your gonna want that out to let mixed fuel/oil into float bowls instead of pumping more oilin them.
devilin i too think thats what happened . i cleaned carbs and lines to pump. what more can i do to get to start. do you think it filled crank case too.
Before putting the carbs back on the engine, get a gas/oil mix into each of the float bowls as full as you can get them. Also, before connecting the cleaned out fuel lines to the carbs, get some gas/oil into each of them and hopefully the fuel pump will be able to push this into the carbs when the engine starts.
An easy way to do all of this is with a Zoom-Spout oil bottle (google if you're not familiar with these). Get an empty Z-S bottle, or dump a full one into another container so you can fill the bottle with gas/2 stroke oil. The little spout on the bottle fits right into the fuel lines (I'd run the spout right up to the fuel pump and squeeze the gas mix in, then suck it out and squeeze in again, etc, as this may help thin out the oil in the pump if that's what it is full of.
Also to fill the carb bowls, remove the little drain screw in the bottom of the bowl, tip the carbs a bit and plug the drain nipple with your finger (or whatever you have available) to keep fuel from running out, and stick the spout into the hole where the screw was. Squeeze the bottle slowly to get some gas mix in the bowl, and replace screw in bowl. Don't tip the carbs too far during or after filling, as fuel may find it's way out of the carb or bowl vents. Repeat for other carb, and when done keep carbs relatively upright until installed on engine. This works very well for me every time I clean carbs, and the sled usually starts in a few pulls since the fuel pump doesn't have to fill empty float bowls from me tugging on the recoil rope to "energize" the pulse line.
In the absence of a Z-S bottle, substitute whatever you have available to try to accomplish the same as the above. Good luck.

it runs! cleaned carbs put gas in air box four pulls. now to find out why the oil in carb

Did you find this oil in the bowls during the pre-season carb clean? Did you drain the carbs at the end of last season?
If you didn't drain them last spring, oil is about the only thing you'll find in the bowls after the fuel evaporates over the summer.
First starts with dry bowls may take two to three shots of pre-mix in the plug holes/carb throught.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding.
