Yamaha "special model" release on the 9th

the guy that said something like overpriced, overweight and over-hyped hit it right on the head - they need something that reinvents them - like the Pro-Action chassis did 15 years ago.
 
20,000$ turbo apex, why, because people will buy it.

really, they need to talk to people who ride the trails.
better skis
better suspensions that don't break parts
more storage
more wind deflection
larger gas tanks, 20gallons if possible
built in gps
extra charge plugs
seat height adjustability
a gauge that you can see without looking over the bars (apex venting)
extra cooling
ability to hit a button and run regular(change timing)
HID lights from factory

he said talking to people that ride TRAILS. not ditch pickles, not boy racers that THINK they are captain snox. all of those things would make high mileage touring awesome. as flashy as an mxzx is, most people would use the gsx more if they were honest with themselves.
 
well im guessing alot of you hear about the disapointment of the new sled being an updated nytro xtx
 
How can they call that a NEW model?
People here have been putting on 1,75 tracks for years!
 
the new one comes out on the 2nd of march, maybe an 1100lb electric powered apex with EPS with a MSRP of $26,000 and includes a 2000W yammi generator and a fancy carrying box for the back of the sled. Now theres a machine.

youd need a heavy hauler to transport the damn thing for sure
 
DREAM ON your only goin to get new graphics and new skis on some of the models. Not a good sled year dealers are sitting on inventory that they need to move. I love my NYTRO XTX and for a few hundred dollars I can make it a 2013 I am half way there already have the extra heat exchanger on. KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE RIDE A YAMAHA AND SOMEDAY THEY WILL SUPRISE YOU WITH SOMETHING NEW.

When you dont expect anything its real difficult to get dissapointed. Imho whats up with the hpg shocks? Cost has probably gone up and you get junk shocks and the new skis probably need parts to make them run right.

After riding a Rush the people at Yamaha need to ride one too.
 
they have to experiment with new weight loss techniques. Seems the other brands have and are surviving. And can't always keep raising prices for technology that has been around for years already.Yamaha has to break the ice again like when they brought back the SRX in 98..

not sure what I should be defending?? all opinions so far, no harsh bashing etc.
 
Agreed....they really put too many eggs in one basket. To go all 4 stroke just for emmisions ???? come on. 4 stroke motocross bikes took off because they had a very clear target (buyer) and had many advantages, all the while improving AND lightning them up constently year after year.....the market is just way different for sleds...you have mixes of different people, how much they make...etc, the sleds that sell are usually more smaller cc (600 2stroke) that the masses look at the racer crowd (drag..x-cross...etc.)and have a huge "x" factor - AND DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO SINK A TON OF $$$$ into to make them competitive (Turbo's...blowers ..etc.)
Imagine the 2 stroke technology Yamaha could have right now??? That they already use or have used in other catagories/products...simply awesome. To me the corporate decision to go all four stroke seems sinical and very narrow minded...but i don't want to get in an argument on the 4 vs. 2 stroke thing...but come on....sorry for the vent.
on another note...has anyone got to sample a Rush or MXZX Rmotion yet??? I got to ride a 12' MXZX with the Rmotion and ladies & gents - that's a game changer- wow!!!!

guess they have done there homework BRP..they sell the most sleds now don't they??they are enticing people with their changes,always moving up the ladder.And the 2 stroke Etecs sound solid..h'mmmm!

I put some miles on a buddies new Rush and I have to say hands down best sled ive ever riden. If you havent had a chance to try one out do it. I was impressed by everything, even the 600 power.
