So I have been working on my sled recently, and I have had great help from TY here. MRViper 700 has been very helpful. I will be sending some parts to be decked and shaved. Since I do not have a lathe, but he briefly mentioned porting the "intake"? in the case. Where your reeds sit. I looked around, and this seems like a do-able thing for a reasonably skilled artist, woodworker, construction worker. I will even have a blown case to practice on. So my questions are this. How technical/ difficult is a case port? What is the best tool? I am looking at a pencil grinder (I believe this is he correct term/tool),but is the straight in variety best or 90 deg for what I am wanting to working on? Also is there a template available? I saw a thread in here about race logics having a cylinder porting template, do you need/ do they have a case template? Anyone? Thanks
