oops!!! power valve cleaning

Pulled out the power valves to clean them today..... as I was cleaning the the ports on the motor with a pencil noticed that the eraser had fell off
(just the rubber part no metal) I looked all over for it, took the exaust manfold off and serched in there and the exaust port could not find it....if it is inside the motor do you think it will hurt it??? Or do I need to strip the motor down and find the stupid thing???

If it did go in the motor, it won't hurt anything. Just start it up and it will end up going out the exhaust. I've had plastic and rubber fall in during top end re-builds with no damage.

Pull the head and get it out if it makes you feel better. Shouldnt take very long to do.

Don't use a pencil/eraser. Use Q-tips instead dipped in carb cleaner. It takes a lot of them but it works much better.

I use a piece of wooden dowel wrapped in a rag and sprayed with carb cleaner.

whats the worse thing that can happen...it may erase the piston.
I would start it and let it pass.

Could you try vacuuming it out with a straw stuck into the cylinder?
