there are wear specs that you can check but every season change out your springs for new ones and you should be fine ;)!

Very nice! I like it. It reminds me how bad I want a dual headlight setup! I think I would ditch the yellow but its your sled! Hope you like it. I love mine. :-)

Ok thanks i will definately replace the springs take out the shims and get her cleaned up and be ready for what is hopefully a good winter, and thanks rangermike i absolutely love this sled and won't ever get rid of it and yeah i would like to get rid of the yellow, maybe after i get done with all the maintenance, i wonder what color i should go with, white is always good with blue? But there's alot of white and blue srxs and just don't care for black and blue, any suggestions anyone?

I think you may be stuck with white blue and black! They look really good completely blacked out! That's a lot of work though. I think stick with blue or black. Anything beats yellow in my opinion...Some people like crazy colors together though.

I've bought two srx's that had hauck clutch kits and both had 8bu-10s with the red spring. they are good weights but the hauck kit had a lot of room for improvement

Like what? Where is there improvement I'm always interested in making her that much better

Actually looking at it again I think I would do silver to match your trailing arms. I think that would look best.

Turn the skid silver and maybe the front plastic covers, I'm gonna get a new windshield just smoke black, i think the cleaner she looks the better, not always the most flashiest

the red spring and the hauck helix are not my favorite match on the srx with the bu-10s, but again going by your sheet it appears you have X weights. I dont have a good suggestion for you with those weights. I didnt have good luck with them but others have.

scratch that, looking at your parts sheet it looks like you have the hauck X weights. they are a decent weight but I have others I prefer.

What you suggest, i can't imagine how fast this thing could be by changing a few sple parts, its already insane

I wonder what the exact specs are on the springs, I'd like to compare them to something instead of calling them all by color?

Your picture of the primary spring doesn't look red to me it looks more like there Hauck Orange which is a good spring for Hauck X weights

thats what i thought too, thought maybe it was just the pic. looks like an orange.
again plenty of guys had good luck with X weights. I'd rather use heelclickers or heavy hitters but thats just me. for that matter I did better with bu00s than I did with X weights. but again, thats just my results. what letter code is your helix?

in his picture with the paper it says 54/44 on the top page

In his first post he mentioned that he was beating F7's Z1 with this setup but like you said staggs there always room for improvment

I would say let the clutching gurus chime in here I'm over my head now LOL ;)!

your sheet shows a hauck silver which is just a yamaha silver with silver spray piant on it. you can just replace that with a yammie silver. I asked about you helix in my previous post, I see from your sheet its a "J". I'll have to look that one up.
