07 venture running problems

i have a issue my 07 venture what happens is it is hard to start almost drain the battery before it starts, once started and with the choke off it seems to idle a little rough, when the warm up light goes off i try to rev it up and it hesitates and either tries stalling or revs up to 5000 rpms and with pressure still on the throttle to try to hold the rpm at 5000 it starts to lose rpms(goes down to zero)and then stalls it starts right up again but continues to do the same thing. it happens with new plugs and then after this happens the plugs are fouled and wet, put new gas in all the time. this sled only has only 100 miles on it. Im hoping its something simple.
 
Clean and service the carburetors. Sounds like a float/float needle is sticking open.
 
k i'll start there i was also reading about guys replacing spark plug caps before i posted but i wasn't sure so i'll start with that thanks for the reply
 
Yes...check your plug caps. Should read 5k ohms. Have you cleaned the carbs? If not, like Racing666 said, You need to do that. Make sure everything is clean. Carb cleaner and compressed air. Are you mechanically inclined?
 
yes inclined enough to clean carbs and do troubleshooting and haven't had a chance to clean the carbs yet due to work later this week i will get it done and let you guys know the results
 
had time to clean 1 carb and the pilot jet was gummed up need to do the other 2 and hopefully be good to go. its a 4 stroke. now 1 other problem while trying to get the carbs off i ripped 1 of the vac lines but thats not a big deal
 
carbs are clean but there is a problem with one of the diagram assembly boot(piston valve) it seems to lose vac when tested and the seal seems to not seal properly it there anything i can do as there is a backorder for this part told 6-8 weeks and its $110
 
you could try a light smear of grease on the lip. have used this trick before on an oring that was not sealing on my bike.
 
thanks for the advice got it in with a little white gease and now have had another misfortune as i was putting the carbs back in i went to snug the bolts on all the diaphragm covers and i just so happen to crack the assembly where the bolt threads in, not the cover. Now question is can i just buy the shell of the carb or the whole thing and also where is a good place to buy parts as i'm tired of the service and price from my local dealership?
 
go over to the ty4stroke site. i think there are a few guys scrapping older rs nitros, rs rage, rs venture and vectors. should be able to get a whole carb rack for a decent price.
 
well today went to the dealership and guess what no coolant to top up the amount that drained out from the carbs. What other brand can i use and as long as its ethylene glycol correct? I also got sparkplugs from NAPA NGK cr8e for $5.50 each thought thats a good price.
 
brother and i use the universal coolant from canadian tire that is safe to mix with all coolants. it is expensive but saves later hassles.

what was your coolant at before? if it was good for -35c or lower you could just top off with water and it should still be good for -30.
 
the coolant was good i found some coolant at another dealer and topped it up now for more good news i cleaned the carbs, put in new sparkplugs and drained the gas tank and filled it with new premium and it just cranks over and doesn't start, now i'm going to check the fuel pump and plug caps.
 
pour some premix down the cylinders.When you cleaned your carbs and put them back..the float bowls would be empty.Take a while to fill them up again..thus the cranking you mentioned.Try the premix trick and then crank again and see if it fires
