electric start add-on

you know for what its worth your push button start idea sounds right on. Turn on the key and push the button. Wouldnt be hard to wire with some testing. Heck you can bridge the two positive ends with a screwdriver and make it start. LOL! Not ideal but you know what i mean. To me doing your seperate starter sounds easier then a whole new harness. THose must not have come with a prewired e start. HMMMM
 

I have installed Electric start on my 1999 & 2000 Phazer's. You need a 3 wire harness that plugs between that Relay/Solenoid at battery & the wiring harness plug located down below MAG side of engine. The harness plug may be hard to see as it may be taped up with a dummy plugged into it. It's pretty much plug & play. Contact me if you require more help or photos.

I would think it has to be there also but he could not find it. Do you have a pic for him on where to find it. I was trying to help him but never panned out. I'm curious as to where it is for future reference also. Thanks chris
 
I see a spare triangle shaped plug down by MAG. I can check again but I didnt recall seeing any other plug.

Sadly looks like Mother Nature has ended our wicked sled season as of the last few days, so Ill likely bring it back in shed for pre-summer tune/clean etc, so I can have a closer look.

Any pics you can send would help greatly....

Seems I have everything except this harness that you speak of....(i think anyways)

Chilli that may be the plug your looking for . Can you take a pic with the wire colors exposed so i can see. Depending what your e start came off of the plug on the starter harness will be different. This is where your hard wiring would come in.
