Finally got to get the sleds out ..sx fired right up on first pull ( 1st time that has happened). 500 vmaxx however, would not! Heres what i had......took plugs out and rolled over 15 times, ..put some gas down cylinders, and replaced plugs ..fired and died... repeated ...repeated , but it just would not stay running..checked plugs and replaced ..no go..repeated procedure..no go.. checked plugs and found them to be very wet..ok flooded? ...I got spark ,i got wet plugs.. but it wont fire till i put gas down the cylinders......whats my problem? anyone?

Plugged pilot jets? Fuel is not getting to the motor. Its running on the fuel you dump in the cylinders only. Take carbs off and clean them. If you still have the problem then check fuel pump.

no diff in choke pos. sled wouldnt stay running long enuff to check anyway.

gonna stick with this thread, having exact same problem with the exact same sled, only thing diff I'm doing is took off the last section of exhaust and gonna take it to work and see if I can air through it with a air comp. When I start mine with fuel down the cylinders the next pull I get a back fire and chunks of snow...

With this junk gas we got now days you got to clean the carbs every year before you even put your hand on the key, or take a chance melting a piston.

this is more of a trivia question, as I have already figured it out! Come on people ..whats the answer? This is the first time somthin like this has ever happened to me!

Yepp, going with out of gas also! Wet plugs from dumping raw fuel down the cylinders

its not outa gas....but............like i said ,never happened to me before ,nor have i ever heard of it happening , It was a quik fix!
