Had a friend do some digging and found 3 same cylinders in the states for 140 a piece definitely haven't committed just seeing what you guys think of that price these are replated an ready to go. Doe this sound more realistic? He also doesn't want my old cylinders so I could get some cash for them or help someone out on here if there interested for a great price. Tell me what you think thanks

Ok dont jump on a new set of cyl yet!!!! Technically you should have them measured to see if they are within spec, sometimes the plating starts to flake around the ports, usually when you try to hone a nikasil cyl on a 2 stroke lol A manual basically tells you everything you need to do
1 The right way to do this is make sure cyl and pistons are in spec, if the pistons are worn out you will have bigger problems sooner than later regardless if you replace the rings.
2 ring end gap needs to be checked, sometimes they are really close other times you may need to file a bit to get proper gap
3 Deglaze the cyl with a green scothbrite pad if they are in spec rather than trying to hone the cyl and damage plating around ports(nikisil is so hard that you wont be removing any material w a hone anyway, well maybe around the ports which u dont want)
shouldnt add extra oil into gas not needed at all you want the parts to break in properly. Good luck and keep us updated, my opinion is the dealer is ripping you off of the cyl replacement, as long as you cant feel any groovs w your fingernail and they measure within spec thay are good to run after a good deglazing.

Ya I'm not jumping on anything yet just checking options here gonna have some pics up real soon then we can see exactly what's going on. How do I check piston spec with a caliper? I don't have one but can go get one sometime I have a manual so hopefully specs r in there. The manual I have is not specifically for my sled but the 700 triple in general it should work for me I'm assuming everything so far seems bang on. If I clean them up like you say can I possible run them without the plating they claim is gone ? I wl have pics within the hour

Unfortunately I can't see them well enough to offer an opinion.

on the pics its looks to be 2 differnt colors on them around the exh port, usually when you see a differnt color there its the plating worn thru and exposing the the bare aluminum, BUT ...before you jump the gun, maybe you can blow up the pics a little they are very hard to tell for sure the size is too small.
