well I scraped the idea of installing an IQ 136 skid into the SXR.I decided to go with Tracks USA for rail and tunnel extensions to a 144 ".I am picking up a Cobra 1.352 x 144" track later today.Guy is selling it and has only 680 miles on it for $350(my offer). He went to a 1.75 instead. So saved alot on the great track.no full price,no tax's and no shipping fees to worry about.
Going to get rail extensions with the tip up ends. Not sure yet what to use for covers on the coolant lines.
This will be a pretty cheap set up all together for around $700-$750.
Will snap pics when I start this project later in the Summer or Fall.

Step 1

here is the first step for my build.I pu today a nearly new (680 miles) Cobra 1.352 track. The inside clips are hardly used and no rust marks on them anywhere, still shiny. That sure looks like a nice track for the powder.Lugs are 1 5/16 tall .Got the track for $350 and saved myself a lot of money includeing tax's and shipping costs, figured I save half price.
Picks to follow,I will take pics of the entire install to a 144.

yep the guy replaced it with a 1 3/4" track. He told me he should of kept this one on as the 1 3/4" didn't perform any better then this one.He said they both performed about the same,so this track must bite the powder pretty good.

You'll love the hookup of that track in most all conditions! Hartman sells nice hose covers and sometimes I've noticed them in the classifieds also.

well another item purchased towards my build.Picked up a brand new Yamaha Blue SnowFlap. This should look purdy on the sled.
I plan on painting the coolant hose covers Blue with Krylon Paint for plastic.
I want the sled to have as much Blue on it as well.
Decided to build a custom bumper out of Aluminum,it will be different..my design.

Found some pics of custom bumpers, will go along that route but with my design..

is there a possibility I could use the plastic tunnel cover and plastic grab bar/luggage rack to work with the viper coolant lines..just wandering how it would fit against the covers..any ideas..or is it a waste of time.Found in the pic parts from an Apex locally. Then there is a pic of it installed on a Apex.

Did you see that thread? Not familar with Steins. Looks pretty good on vipers ;)!

Just pickup the mtn rack. Its easy to mod and install plus it has a led rear light which is awesome and bright. ;)!

yeah I would, but the crazy guy who is selling it(north of Dauphin) first of all doesn't have paypal and when I mentioned to price it delivered to me he says "I don't know what it would cost" ..weird guy.He has parted a complete Apex and expects to sell all the parts when he is not willing to set himself up for payment and delivery.he told me maybe I can find someone who could come to WPG..anyways I just told him to take parts pkg'd to Post Office and get a price..he still hasn't responded..lol..he wants $110 for that rack and tunnel cover..
