I'm talking about the Boss seat. It is a complete replacement seat for the sled.
From what I have gathered, the seat riser is a wedge piece that lifts the rear of the factory seat.

I don't think Excell makes seat risers anymore.

They don't make them anymore but in the tech section they have directions on how to make. I made two of them and they worked awesome.

Great news, BOSS seats are on sale for $299.00. Bad news all Yamaha's are sold out. I would have ordered 5 just for stock and resale. Al

WOW, through where?? I paid $560 for mine w/ LED taillight last week.
...that's depressing.
Still waiting for a response regarding a ship date as well. Was told by the dealer that BOSS is not easy to work with. Hopefully their seats are better than their lack of communication!

So I found out BOSS is out of the taillights. I still want the seat, though.
That being said, does anyone have any suggestions for a custom taillight setup?

The bracket and light came from local Napa store. These are common push in trailer lights. The bracket fits inside the rear most storage compartment. Through bolt down. I used a hot knife to cut the hole for the light. The Boss tail lights are a joke, way too small for anyone to really see. Goood luck Al

are these seats really worth the $550?

Every last penny and then some! I went with nytro tail lights. With the boss seats not sure it will leave you room to mount on tunnel.Cooper0809 said:are these seats really worth the $550?

How would you compare it to a SC10 or M10 skid/suspension?

7hundo I am amazed that your setup works with stock cables. I was trying the same thing with my srx using a mountain viper throttle cable and a rox adjustable riser along with a pivot tube and even with putting the adjustable riser at the lowest setting I still didn't have even close to enough length with the brake and oil cable. How is it that you got this to work since ive seen countless posts claiming that the highest riser you could use on srx/sx'r is like 3 to 3.5". Your setup looks great, guess im just jealous that mines not even close to working without replacing all my cables.

Couple things-
A. You totally are hijacking this dudes post.
B. There are a few pics in that thread link I posted to see how it's done.
C. My setup works with extended electrical harness wires and stock cables because I am using a FLAT bar. Not stock handlebars. RSI 10* pullback bars. It basically is the same as using 2in pivot risers with stock bars. I am putting extended cables on for peace of mind.
D. Please stop hijacking threads. Start one asking some seasoned Yammie junkies about our setup and we will be happy to point you in a direction.

Back to topic...I rode one on my 98 project sled (in avatar) last year and loved it! I have a 5" riser plus pivot and it is very comfortable set up, and getting closer to the newer rider forward. After riding mine and jumping on a stock 2002 VMAX, I couldn't get off of it fast enough. I felt I went backwards in comfort twenty years between riding position and seat feel. My son took over that sled now as he rode it every chance he could. I am trying out four stroke next year.
