I put carbs back on after I synced the slides. Still runnin lean. It hits good if I put my hand over back of carb OR if I put my hand over the air jet in the back of carb... I think this is a job for someone who has more experiance with these things. I just cannot get it.

Did you get the nozzle fixed already?

No. After further examinaton last night. All carbs needles are the same as the middle one. And since those 2 are hitting figured it was ok...just dont know where to go from here. Very frustrating. It feels like im just chasing my tail

Covering the air jet (which controls the amount of air in idle/low RPM) it starts firing suggests its either getting to much air to begin with or that it forcing it to draw/suck on the pilot circuit harder which is then pulling fuel threw it. Does that air jet look different than the other two? Any other Yamahas around you could borrow carbs off from?

Air jet looks the same. No other yamahas that I know of. IM gonna call a snowmobile engine builder tmr and see if he will look at it

99.9% sure the problem is in that carb based on what your saying. If the are clean maybe a worn/broken part causing it to suck air from some where it shouldn't. Bowl seal in good shape? Rubber not dry/cracked? Might be able to pick up another set of carbs cheaper than paying some one else to work on it. Post a wanted add.....might be supprised.

Is it possible that its a crank seal issue I mean I could be a carb issue. Is there a seal that just seals off middle cylinder from the other 2.

No there isn't a seal dividing the cylinders. I am reasonably sure the issue your having is what cause problem with that cylinder originally. Did the previous owner have any kind of back story on what happened?

You never did post if you tested for a cracked case underneath the center cyl like Mrviper suggested. I've got a small stack of cases with these cracks. All on engines with blown cyls and a chunk of debris went through the bottom end.

I didnt take the motor out but I had sprayed carb cleaner all over the case to make it tske off but no go. Is there a better way? There was really no debris when it blew. No chunks in the skirt missing or anything like that
