looks like mostly more updates to the new viper chassis. I like the expansion of the deluxe trail models, and I bet that mtn sled will be a force in the deep. smaller steps, but i think still making progress. and they sure are selling the vipers around here from what I can tell and have heard

Kind of disappointed personally. But it is a step in the right direction. Would be nice to see some published WEIGHTS!! And what's with the disclaimer on their add-on turbo only good above 6000 feet? Does it void the warranty if it's ridden at sea level? Mid-western boondockers want more power too...

Hate to say it, but the Doo Summit XM is starting to look good to me. Anyone want a just broken in Mountain Max? 6900 miles...ahh...just kidding. I'd have to sell a body part to afford any new sled.

I honestly think all the manufactures have a few decent sleds and good ideas. Still partial to blue, but they all make done decent stuff at the moment

One thing nobody had mentioned and I think is really cool is the chassis damper. Comes with any spring ordered apex, vector, or venture. I looked it, and an sure it does make a difference. Been on cars a few years, makes sense to me

This and a price decrease in Canada.Pretty good deal for anybody looking for these sleds. But the rest pretty much sums up the writing on the wall, yamaha sled division is on borrowed time:ORC.

Yawn.

But this is what I expected. The mtn riders out west won't be excited as it doesn't have enough power. Is fine for us Midwesterners, but so we're the xtx models this year. I me the s xtx or whatever they call it, but if I was to spend 11k on a Yamaha, it would probably be the venture GT.

The Pro RMK 800 is the #1 selling sled in the mountains. My cousin's son has a turbo'd Polaris and it flies...GPS at 125 mph. he told me.Yamaha sleds need to shed more weight also and prices have to drop.

So, doing more reading, you can get a dealer added turbo for mtn vipers, above 6000 ft use, for $2000, if you buy it this spring. But there's some questions, warranty? Also, looks like nothing was done to the existing sleds except performance dampers as spring only option. The nytrto is dead, as it's a 2014 model only, which is a shame.

youl keep your warrant with the turbo. The apex has actually seen the most improvements including the intake, engine, exhaust, etc. to boost performance a bit. The nytro on the other hand didnt even get new graphics which means yamaha has completely pushed it to the side. Honestly seems like they took the easy way out. All they did was tell the people at TRF to put the procross tunnel and skid in and put a couple accessories on some models. And the graphics designers just borrowed some designs from the 2014 motocross bikes. This may mean their focusing on something big for the future but the last real big thing they done was back in 07-08 with the nytro....Its time..

Didn't the Apex get those engine changes back in 2011? I don't think they're new.

Thats what it said on a 2015 apex brochure and its on the site. Ive just been told its the same word for word "NEW" features since 2012... Looks like yamaha really did put in no effort to do much this year

What is this? Didn't see anything about it in the features/specs on the models page.

Found this video on it, sounds like it could actually help a lot. This type of thing has been used on handlebars for MX before (ODi CFT bars) to help reduce vibration.
