clutch weight part numbers:8dn-17605-20-00 you need 3 of them.
clutch rivets 4.5 gram-90261-06033-00 you need 6 of them
primary clutch spring, will have a white, white, white paint mark on black spring, part number-90501-603L2-00 need 1 of those
secondary clutch spring, will be black with green dot, part number-90508-556A2-00,need 1 of those.
helix part number-8fa-17604-00-00,need 1 of those
51/43 means the angles on the helix, 51 start and finishes at 43, the 98-99 srx is fine with this helix as it doesnt make as much horsepower as the 2000-02 does and it turns a lower peak rpm, you want 8300rpm peak rpm, the engine will not blow up if it revs more it will just not give peak performance. The new weights are already heavier and more aggressive then the stock 98 weights which lowers rpm.
70 means: 70 degree of twist when installed, youd use hole 6 in the helix, and hole 1 in the clutch.
take these part numbers to your dealer and order the parts.
Will this setup work on 2001 srx even with a little more hp?

WOW 2 degrees makes that much of a difference? I may as well put a grass drag setup in this thing since its been almost 50 outside for the last 2 days.
I also want to check clutch spacing and offset. More homemade tools I saw on here that I dont remember where. Now I will go to the arctic cat area and see what I can find out what the hot setup is for a 94 wildcat 700efi. That one is going to be interesting.

Ok then i'll junk it and call dalton for a 51/45
I got the Dalton 54/46 in my 02 that MrViper recommended, that works great with the 8dn20's

Is this a all round good setup? Strong lake running, aggressive trail?

heel clicker weights and that 50/40 work awesome in a srx, I would buy a set of 40-10 heel clicker weights before i bought a new helix to go with the 8dn20 weights. While they work good (8dn20's) they are no where near as aggressive as heel clickers are.

Should I got that instead of the stuff you told me?(The stuff didn't even ship yet) The whole heel-clicker setup is $225(minus the helix)at Rich motorsports. I thought that stuff was too complex for a beginner at clutching.

rockwatersrx It looks like a great for everything setup. After doing more research and understanding a tiny bit more, It makes me wonder why yamaha didn't set them up like this in the first place. Yours being a 2002 I think you need the 51/45 helix. I think the 02 made like 5 more hp. I will let you know what mine does if it ever ships. Oh yeah, need some snow.

Not looking for aggressive just a bit different than stock. I have had the stock setup on since new. The primary has been serviced and balanced by MICRO BELMONT . It's my spare sled but I seem to ride it more than my APEX GT!

just stick with what you have ordered, heel clickers are not for a novice. no disrespect intended.

ok, by the time you buy 3 more rivets, a primary spring, a new helix and a sec. spring youll be the same money as buying h/c's but its your sled, and your decision. You asked i provided a answer what you do with that information is up to you..
