Berrien County. Now we ride just the northern part to avoid the tribal police on the southern trail.
If you look at the Michigan trail map the southern trail is only like 30 miles and goes right by the casino.
Same here not a big fan of weekend riding. Also not to big on night riding.
I also like field riding but moved during the summer and don't know the fields around me yet.
The guy a few houses down knows them real good as he grew up in the area but he like to drink, get high and ride only at night so not gonna ride with him.
He said he gets a different sled each year because he always totals one out. I wonder LOL..
I don't drink I'm 23 been riding since 12 I moved to Michigan when I was 10. I've seen alot of people around here go bar hopping and get hit by cars and trucks. Me and my dad watched one guy hit a barbwire fences and another guy paid for our gas one night the station closed early and 5 miles down the trail he got hit by a semi.
That why I don't like to ride at night or with people that have been drinking..
I don't mind tinkering at all. Whichever sled I get will be getting new skis, shaper bars, studs, pipes, can, and reeds right off the get go.
I also like to put a big wheel kit on the skid. I have 8" wheels on my T-cat. It made a big difference

I'm not sure why you are talking about putting studs on these? Neither one is set up for tunnel and exchanger protectors and they don't have the room to add them. These things come with a 2" paddle track. Did you know that? Studs that tall will destroy the track because of how easy they pull out from the leverage.
By the sounds of your list it seems like you are more of a trail rider that jump off into a field or wood lot when you come across it. These sleds are not overly trail friendly and in that case neither one may be what your looking for.
Buy one so that you'll have a trail sled and the other one for off trail.
I didn't have any problems on the trail with my mountain max.
